Coming Soon: Tomorrow Isn’t Promised
Hello friends! I have a very exciting announcement today! My latest novel, Tomorrow Isn’t Promised, is releasing on February 13th—just one week from today!
While I’m always excited to announce a new book, this one has a very special place in my heart. The characters, themes and emotions, and perhaps more than anything, the book’s main message, have captivated me from the start of the writing process right up until this moment. And you know the old adage, “No tears from the writer, no tears from the reader”? Yep. I think I may be able to promise that this book will make you as emotional as it makes me every time I read it over.
And so, without further ado, here’s a little about the book that’s getting me so excited:
Tomorrow Isn’t Promised
By Chelsea Burden
Who would choose to love a girl with no promise of a “happily ever after”?
Nathan isn’t sure choice has anything to do with it. When God calls, you answer. Even when that means taking a risk that might just leave you with a broken heart.
For Cherish, the future doesn’t look so tangible. Misty dreams of deeper fulfillment swirl in her heart—and of course, the longing for someone all her own.
When a shattering diagnosis tears her world apart forever, an equally unexpected love brings questions she never thought she’d face. Is it fair to accept his offer while death looms ahead? Can faith—and love—find meaning in tragedy? And does God really care about the stories that end in ashes?
Tomorrow Isn’t Promised is a squeaky-clean heartfelt Christian romance with a twist. If you like intense emotions, characters that come alive, and a faith that sparks a new kind of heroism, then you’ll love this poignant new slant on an age-old genre.
Finding a Cover for Tomorrow Isn’t Promised
I initially thought the cover process for Tomorrow Isn’t Promised was going to be really simple. I knew exactly what I wanted and I felt confident there would be lots of viable images to choose from. Unfortunately, it turned out a bit harder than that! There are a lot of images out there, but there are also a lot of reasons why most of them weren’t “just right.” Fortunately, I have an awesome cover designer, who was willing to work with me saying, “I like the way their hands look, but the colouring isn’t right, and I wanted a sunrise in the background.”
It was all worth it, though, for the moment when she showed me the final version, and I knew it was absolutely perfect. I mean, look at it—isn’t it gorgeous? It conveys at a glance so many of the subtle themes that made this story one of my all-time favourites to write. And it makes me happy every time I look at it.
Releasing February 13th!
I know, I know, it should say February 14th. A romance novel releasing the day before Valentine’s Day? What a perfect opportunity wasted! Except that it’s not really. Tomorrow Isn’t Promised will be on a special launch discount all week, so it’s actually more like Valentine’s Day comes a little early this year.
Don’t forget to come back next week to take advantage of that special launch-week sale!
