A year from now . . . where are you going to be?
It’s part of the magic—the awe—the fascination of a new year that it stretches out before us, as pure and trackless as an unbroken blanket of snow.
A year from now . . . where do you WANT to be?
Is that an easier, or a harder, question to answer? Today, at the very beginning of January, I want to share some of my goals for 2024. I want to share them because they’re not just goals for me. They’re goals for us.
I’ve been fascinated, recently, by looking at writing as a partnership—a joint endeavour in which both author and reader play a vital part.
As I look forward to our world, twelve months from now, this is where I hope we will be. But first, a little word about who “we” actually is.
My Grown-Up Blog Reader
First and foremost—once-upon-a-time—SAW Publishing was created for you.
You, the mom who feels like “busy” is a gross understatement of your hectic life.
You, the home-educator desperate to give your growing students the best literary diet that’s out there, in an ever-swelling wilderness of junk-food books.
You, the passionate Christian, longing for passionately Christian books—but feeling lost and alone in your quest for reading material that really matters.

At SAW Publishing we—and that means both of us!—believe in the power of amazing books. Putting high-quality, spiritually motivating fiction into the hands of the next generation of Christian heroes and heroines is our mission.
By the end of 2024, we want to be your go-to resource for trustworthy assistance navigating the increasingly-complex world of children’s/YA fiction.
We want you to feel comfortable handing our monthly short stories over to your growing readers.
And yes, we want our novels to be on your raider when you sit down to make your gift list for Christmas 2024! We are committed to producing the first-class, Christ-centred blog content to get you there.

Up above I just admitted that SAW Publishing was first created, not so much for you, as for your mom.
That’s true—and yet, in another way, the person who stands at the very core of our identity has always been you.
