Who is Miss Macintosh?

When Alice Macintosh marries and moves away, her three nieces are determined to fill her place.  But on the Canadian border in 1812 this may be a more difficult task than they had bargained for.  An accident with a rowboat, an ill-timed invention, and a mission across the Niagara all conspire to interrupt their plans.

Released to coincide with the bicentennial of the 1814 Peace Treaty, this story gives an intriguing glimpse into the life of a family caught between two conflicting powers, and striving to maintain a Christian worldview in an atmosphere of enmity and discord.

Will the girls succeed in fulfilling their mission?  Will any of them manage to become Miss Macintosh of Chiveley?
